Hamill's star is the 2,630th star on the Walk of Fame.
Harrison Ford, who portrayed fugitive smuggler and all-round charmer Han Solo in four "Star Wars" films, was among those on hand to pay tribute to Hamill, along with "Star Wars" creator George Lucas. While Carrie Fisher's absence was felt by all those in attendance at the event, Ford claimed she was only missing in body, as her spirit was there with them.
R2-D2 was also in the audience..
Lucas also weighs in, praising the actor for his enthusiasm that was the quality he was looking for in Luke Skywalker. "He's extremely enthusiastic about everything he does and that is exactly what I was looking for when I was looking for Luke Skywalker".

Ford said that to prepare for speaking at Hamill's ceremony, he went back and watched their screen test for the first Star Wars movie and was surprised at how good Hamill was in it.

Fisher passed away in December of 2016 and made her final appearance in the galaxy far, far away in Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
"He has been the master of his own experience, his own life", said Ford, adding he prepared himself for the Walk of Fame presentation by visiting the past.
