The armed forces will push on after operations in Afrin and Manbij, further east, to sweep Syrian Kurdish fighters from the length of Turkey' border with Syria, President Tayyip Erdogan said on Friday.
Turkey launched operation "Olive Branch" on January 20 against the Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG), a powerful militia that controls the Afrin region in northwest Syria and which Ankara regards as a "terror group".
Cavusoglu said Turkey's offensive into northern Syria's Afrin region against the Syrian Kurdish militia, will also be completed by May.
"The operations in Afrin will continue until this swamp of terror is dried", Erdogan warned.
