Warsaw, North Carolina police are investigating after one of their officers was captured on video putting his hands around the throat of a 22-year-old who had his hands in the air, seemingly not resisting arrest, outside of a Waffle House. He was charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct for arguing with Waffle House employees.
Police were reportedly called to the restaurant after Wall got in an argument with employees there.
Warsaw Police Chief Eric Southerland identified the officer as belonging to his department and said incident is under investigation in an interview with The News & Observer.

Before he resigned , Schneiderman, who was first elected in 2010, was seeking a third term as attorney general. The attorney general is one of the seats open in the 2018 midterm election this November.
"We are aware of the video and now working on an investigation, following up based on the video posted, doing interviews, gathering video evidence".
"Get your hands off of me", Wall is heard screaming as the officer, with his hand still around Wall's neck, proceeds to slam him onto the ground. Police Chief Eric Southerland released this statement to ABC11: "We are now investigating the whole incident, interviewing witnesses and gathering additional video". Wall admits that while he may have been out of line during his altercation with staff, he was shocked by his treatment at the hands of the police, and felt that Moss' response was completely unjustified.
It's unclear if there have been any immediate repercussions against the police officer.

On May 29, Starbucks plans to close all of its stores nationwide for an afternoon of racial bias training.
