"Bob Iger of ABC called Valerie Jarrett to let her know that "ABC does not tolerate comments like those" made by Roseanne Barr", Trump tweeted Wednesday. Barr created a firestorm this week when she posted a tweet likening former Obama White House senior adviser Valerie Jarrett to an ape.
Barr's combative stance seemed at odds with a series of seemingly honest apologies for what she had done.
She wrote: "Don't feel sorry for me, guys!"

The May jobs report was in fact a good one for a president who likes to brag about the strong jobs market. After Trump's tweet, the two-year Treasury yield climbed one basis point, while the dollar stayed flat.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter about his ex-wife's racist tweets that led to the cancellation of her sitcom "Roseanne", the 59-year-old suggested she may have "wanted" the show over. "In fact, I tweeted a lot because I figured someone would take her phone away or monitor that, because it's risky when you have that much money on a show". "You throw me under the bus. nice!" she wrote. Barr also called Chelsea Clinton "Chelsea Soros Clinton" on Twitter and falsely claimed the former first daughter is married to the nephew of George Soros, a billionaire liberal philanthropist.
Since then, Barr has gone into meltdown, returning to Twitter to apologise and even getting support from Trump. The saddest part of all is 4 Jayden Rey on the show whom I grew2 love so much & am so ashamed of myself that she would ever think I do not love her bc she is African American.
"Roseanne" was rebooted in March after a 21-year hiatus with Barr's character recast as a Trump supporter in a rare depiction of working class life on the USA small screen.

The actress was able to find plenty of sympathizers though because she noted multiple retweets of people supporting her through this PR crisis. "I said look, someone has got to tell her that Donald Trump doesn't carry his own phone", he explained.
"It's a meme that she and thousands of her alt-right fans do", Arnold said.
After initially posting that she would be quitting Twitter, Barr went on to post a flurry of messages on the site. She also added a note that she's the most sad about Jayden Rey, the young woman who played Roseanne's black granddaughter on the revival sitcom.
