Washington had already imposed tariffs on Dollars 34 billion on July 6 but held off on a final USD 16 billion in goods as a result of concerns from U.S. companies.
The Office United States Trade Representative (USTR) announced the tariffs in a statement released on Tuesday afternoon US time.
Such practices include rules compelling companies in certain sectors to take on local partners if they want to do business in China.
